Member Directory (For Members Only): If you are a member and choose to participate in our member directory , certain profile information you choose to share will be visible to other logged-in Krewe members. You may have control over the visibility of your profile information within member privacy settings. * For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.

9. Photographs and Media from Krewe Events

We frequently take photographs and videos at Krewe of Riviera Revelers events, including parades, social gatherings, and civic activities. By participating in Krewe of Riviera Revelers events, whether public or member-only, you irrevocably consent to and authorize the Krewe and its authorized representatives to:

Own the copyright and all intellectual property rights in all such photographs and videos created at Krewe events.
Use, reproduce, distribute, display, modify, and create derivative works from these photographs and videos in any media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without any compensation or royalty to you or any third party.
Use your image and likeness for any Krewe purpose, including but not limited to: promotional materials (website, social media, brochures, flyers, advertisements, presentations), archival documentation, internal communications, member directories, and fundraising efforts.

This grant of rights is intended to be a full and unrestricted assignment of ownership and usage rights to Krewe of Riviera Revelers.

Implicit Consent and Notification:

Event Attendance as Consent: Your voluntary attendance at any Krewe of Riviera Revelers event constitutes your full understanding and acceptance of this Photo Policy and your irrevocable consent to the capture and use of your image and likeness as described herein.
Photography/Videography Notice: The Krewe will make reasonable efforts to provide notice that photography and videography may be in progress at events through signage and/or announcements.

Limited Opt-Out for Specific Photos/Events (Procedure):

While you grant broad rights to the Krewe, we are committed to responsible and respectful use of images. If you have a specific and compelling reason why you do not wish your image to be used in a particular photograph or video, or for a specific event, you may express your concerns to a designated Krewe representative (e.g., the Events Coordinator, a Leadership Committee member) at the event and, if possible, in advance of the event by contacting us at events@rivierarevelers.com .
The Krewe will review such requests on a case-by-case basis and make reasonable efforts to accommodate them where feasible and without unduly hindering the Krewe’s ability to document and promote its activities. However, due to the nature of public events and group photography, we cannot guarantee that your image will not be captured incidentally or used in all circumstances.

Request for Image Removal (Procedure):

If you find a photograph or video of yourself on our website or social media that you wish to have removed, and you believe its use is inconsistent with this Photo Policy or otherwise problematic, please contact us at events@rivierarevelers.com with a direct link to the image/video and your request. We will review your request and take action as appropriate, considering the Krewe’s need to document and promote its activities and the individual’s concerns.

Junior Members:

For Junior Members, this policy applies with parental/guardian consent. Parents/guardians grant these rights on behalf of their Junior Members when enrolling in Junior Membership or allowing their Junior Members to participate in Krewe events.

By becoming a member of Krewe of Riviera Revelers or attending Krewe events, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Photo Policy and grant Krewe of Riviera Revelers the rights to your image and likeness as described above.
