1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Krewe of Riviera Revelers website RivieraRevelers.com (the “Website”) and/or becoming a member of Krewe of Riviera Revelers (the “Krewe”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Website or become a member of the Krewe.

2. Website Use – Public Areas

Acceptable Use: You agree to use the Website for lawful purposes only and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the Website. You will not use the Website in any way that is unlawful, unethical, or harmful.
Website Content – Informational Purposes: The content provided on the public areas of the Website is for general informational purposes about Krewe of Riviera Revelers, its activities, and Mardi Gras culture. It is not intended to be professional advice of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information, but we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy.

3. Member-Only Area Use

Restricted Access: Access to member-only areas of the Website is restricted to individuals with valid Krewe of Riviera Revelers memberships at the appropriate level, as determined by the Krewe Leadership.
Account Security: Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Website account login credentials (username and password). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify Krewe of Riviera Revelers immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
Member Conduct in Member Areas: You agree to use member-only features (including but not limited to profiles, groups, forums, direct messaging) in a respectful, ethical, and lawful manner. You will adhere to the Krewe of Riviera Revelers Member Code of Conduct, Bylaws, and Community Standards (see Section 5). Misuse of member features, harassment, or violation of Krewe rules may result in suspension or termination of membership and website access.
No Commercial Use: Member-only areas and features are for Krewe-related activities, communication, and community building. Commercial use, solicitation, or unauthorized data extraction of member information is strictly prohibited.

4. Krewe Membership Terms

Membership Subject to Bylaws: Membership in Krewe of Riviera Revelers is governed by the Krewe Bylaws, as amended from time to time. Membership levels, requirements, rights, and responsibilities are as outlined in the Bylaws and on the Website’s Membership page.
Membership as a Privilege: Membership in Krewe of Riviera Revelers is a privilege, not a right. The Krewe Leadership Committee reserves the right to approve or deny membership applications and to suspend or terminate membership for cause, as outlined in the Bylaws.
Dues and Fees: Membership dues and any other applicable fees are due and payable as outlined on the Website and in membership communications. Failure to pay dues may result in suspension or termination of membership.
Adherence to Krewe Rules: Members are expected to adhere to all Krewe of Riviera Revelers rules, guidelines, policies, and the Member Code of Conduct (see Section 5), as communicated by the Krewe Leadership.
Membership Benefits Subject to Change: While Krewe of Riviera Revelers strives to provide the membership benefits described on the Website and in membership materials, these benefits are not guaranteed and may be modified or discontinued at the Krewe’s discretion.

5. Member Code of Conduct and Community Standards

Krewe of Riviera Revelers is committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community. As a member, you agree to abide by the following principles:

Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all members, event attendees, volunteers, and members of the public with courtesy, respect, and inclusivity, regardless of background, identity, or beliefs. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
Positive Krewe Representation: Represent Krewe of Riviera Revelers positively in all interactions, both online and offline. Avoid actions that could damage the Krewe’s reputation.
Responsible Event Participation: Participate in Krewe events responsibly and safely. Follow event guidelines and instructions from Krewe organizers and event staff.
Constructive Communication: Communicate constructively and respectfully in all Krewe forums, groups, and interactions. Resolve disagreements respectfully and privately when possible.
Privacy and Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of fellow members. Do not share member contact information or private communications outside of authorized Krewe channels without consent. Maintain confidentiality of Krewe internal discussions and sensitive information as appropriate.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Abide by all applicable laws and regulations in connection with Krewe activities and events.

Violation of this Member Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including membership suspension or termination, as determined by the Krewe Leadership Committee in accordance with the Bylaws.

6. Intellectual Property

Krewe Content Ownership: All content on the Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, audio clips, and software, is owned by Krewe of Riviera Revelers or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Limited License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and view the public content of the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes related to your interest in or involvement with Krewe of Riviera Revelers. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Website content without the express written permission of Krewe of Riviera Revelers.
Member-Generated Content: By posting or submitting content within member-only areas (e.g., in profiles, groups, forums), you grant Krewe of Riviera Revelers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display such content within the Krewe’s website and member-only platforms for Krewe purposes (e.g., member directory, group communication, internal Krewe features). You retain ownership of your original content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that participation in Krewe events and activities may involve inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all such risks associated with your membership and participation in Krewe activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Krewe of Riviera Revelers, its Leadership Committee members, officers, volunteers, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your use of the Website; (c) your Krewe membership activities; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Your State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bay County, Florida.

10. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
